COST action 714, supported by the European Commission, had the objective to promote the development of measurement techniques and the use of directional wave measurements. The action was launched in 1996, and, in the end, representatives of ten European countries (Belgium, Finland, France, Italy, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and of the United Kingdom) participated in it.
Within the action a working group was created with the title Intercomparisons of Spectral Properties of Surface Waves for the purpose of improving the understanding of measurement techniques, methods of analysis, and comparisons between different instruments.

The aim of COST Action 842 was to promote research on entomopathogenic fungi in the order of the Entomophthorales. A seperate working group also focused on the development of biological methods to control pest insects and mites feeding on stored products. The booklet provides an overview on this interesting and biologically and economically important group of fungi.
Regulating Restorative Justice- A comparative Study of Legislative Provision in European Countires
- Author(s): David Miers and Ivo Aertsen
- ISBN/ISSN: 978-3-86676-232-9
The purpose of this new study, which originates from COST Action A 21, is to take forward the existing materials contained in Mapping Restorative Justice and in other European overviews. This new book provides a deeper and more reflective account of the genesis and current significance of restorative justice provisions within 14 selected European countries. Each country contribution therefore addresses in great detail the background and contents of its legislation, both at primary and subordinate level. The authors in this book, not only evaluate their legal structures against applicable international standards, but they also analyse the social and political function of restorative justice legislation and they reflect on how different types of regulation further shape and determine restorative justice principles and practices.
