Colloquium on Stochastic Analysis, Numerics and Applications

The 2026 STOCHASTICA Colloquium on Stochastic Analysis, Numerics and Applications will take place from 26–28 August 2026 at the Faculty of Sciences and Mathematics, University of Niš, Serbia, as part of COST Action STOCHASTICA (CA24104).

The colloquium will bring together researchers working in stochastic analysis, stochastic differential equations, numerical methods, applied probability, scientific computing, and related application areas. Building on the momentum generated by the STOCHASTICA Directions Workshop held at University College Cork in April 2026, the event aims to strengthen collaborations across disciplines and sectors and to identify new research opportunities at the interface of stochastic analysis, numerical methods, and applications.The scientific programme will include invited plenary lectures, poster presentations, discussion sessions, and networking activities designed to encourage interaction among researchers at different career stages. Particular emphasis will be placed on connecting stochastic theory with challenges arising in industry, technology, and the public sector.

The colloquium welcomes researchers from academia, industry, and the public sector.

In addition to COST support opportunities, the Applied Probability Trust (APT) is offering five bursaries for junior researchers attending the event. Eligible applicants include PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, and early-career faculty. Successful applicants may receive up to €500 towards travel and accommodation expenses and will be invited to present a poster at the colloquium.

Registration for participation remains open until 30 June 2026, and both in-person and online participation are available.
