PAAR-Net, Participatory Approaches with Older Adults, is excited to announce its first Training School on Knowledge Synthesis.

Don’t miss this opportunity to advance your research skills and contribute to inclusive social innovation!

Empowering Young Researchers and Innovators
This Training School is a unique opportunity for young researchers and innovators to develop essential skills in knowledge synthesis. In an era where information overload is common, the ability to synthesize and integrate knowledge from multiple sources is critical for informed decision-making and innovative research. Participants will learn how to conduct comprehensive literature reviews, aggregate and evaluate findings, and generate actionable insights.

Inclusive Social Innovation
The Training School is part of PAAR-Net’s broader mission to promote participatory approaches with older adults. This initiative seeks to engage older adults, including those at risk of social exclusion, in research and policy development. By involving diverse groups, PAAR-net aims to drive inclusive social innovation and enhance the quality of data and research processes.

Application and Eligibility
The Training School primarily targets PhD students and post-doctoral researchers affiliated with academic or research institutions. Young researchers and innovators under 40 from Inclusiveness Target Countries or Near Neighbour Countries are particularly encouraged to apply. Senior academics, researchers, and policy-makers may also apply, with priority given to younger applicants.

Financial Support
There are 20 grants available, each up to 1200 Euros, to support travel and participation costs.

How to Apply
Interested applicants should complete the application form available on the PAAR-Net website. The deadline for applications is June 28th 2024.  Applications will be evaluated based on their alignment with the objectives of COST Action CA22167 and the specific focus of the Training School.
