Call for STSM applications within ENDLESS Metal

ENDLESS Metal (European Network for the Dissemination of portable, low-cost, minimally invasive, easy-to-use and easily accessible analytical tools to meet the needs of metal heritage conservation) is a one-year project funded by the COST Innovators Grant programme, that offers ending Actions the possibility to create an additional impact during the year after the end of the Action. Thus, with the end of the COST Action PortASAP (CA16215), the ENDLESS Metal (IG16215) project aims to provide cultural heritage professionals who deal with metals with portable, low-cost, minimally invasive, easy-to-use and easily accessible analytical tools, which can be used individually or in combination, and which allow them to collect essential data for their family identification and diagnose.

Short-term scientific missions (STSM) within ENDLESS Metal

STSMs are exchange visits aimed at supporting individuals to visit and learn from an institution or laboratory in another country than the one of their affiliation, strengthening existing networks, fostering collaboration in excellent research infrastructures, and sharing new techniques. Grantees gain access to specific data or methods that may not be available in their home institution or laboratory. These scientific missions may last up to three months and have a minimum duration of five days. Participation of young researchers and innovators (under 40 years old) is particularly encouraged.

Proposed STSMs must be planned to be completed until 30 September 2023.
