The Week of Innovative Regions in Europe (WIRE) is the main European policy forum for innovation and regional development. The 10th edition - WIRE X 2019 - is taking place in Iasi under the Romanian EU Council Presidency 2019, with the support of the European Commission, Directorate General for Research and Innovation, and the Ministry for Research and Innovation in Romania.
On an annual basis, the two-day conference gathers stakeholders from the EU research and innovation community such as policy makers, representatives from the regional and national authorities, the private sector and academia.
The European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) is actively participating in this year’s conference with two sessions, one is a hosted-by session focussing on Pockets of Excellence and the importance of creating synergies between programmes, projects and people. The other is a video workshop sponsored by the COST Academy, targeted to researchers that want to enrich their communication skills.
