The COST Action Connecting Theory and Practical Issues of Migration and Religious Diversity (COREnet) is organising their PhD Summer School 2023 to be held at the Vienna Doctoral School for Theology and Religious Studies of the University of Vienna in Austria.
The topic of this training school is Religious and Non-Religious Narratives on Migration. Narratives on migration play a crucial role in public discourses and have a significant impact on the perception and treatment of migrants and on the development of social and political measures to deal with migration. Therefore, the aim of the COREnet PhD Summer School is to discuss and identify what religious and non-religious narratives can contribute to contemporary challenges in the field of migration from an interdisciplinary academic perspective. The course will provide young PhDs, postdocs, and researchers (all up to 40 years old) with the opportunity to discuss and deepen their knowledge and understanding of interdisciplinary research on religious and non-religious narratives on migration.
Applications must be submitted via email to [email protected] no later than 1 April.
Successful applicants will be contacted directly by email on 14 April.
