NanoInnovation 2025, Conference and Exhibition is a flagship event for innovation and technological development, representing a well-established meeting point for the wide and multidisciplinary community involved in the development of nanotechnology and its integration with other key enabling technologies (KETs), in all fields of application. This year, topics underlying innovation, nanomedicine, nanomaterials, energy, and related ecosystems will receive special attention, with the aim of enhancing the technological and social return on investment in research and higher education.
The event will once more gather researchers, technologists, managers, entrepreneurs, and investors who will share their experiences, opinions, and expectations on the topics proposed this year, with constant focus on the world of nanotechnology. As in previous editions, special attention will be paid to the direct involvement of young researchers, doctoral students, and students, to support their inclusion in the professional world and foster their role as protagonists in the future of our society.
The event will include scientific plenary sessions; parallel scientific and technical sessions and parallel thematic symposia (poster and oral presentations on selected topics); training courses/schools, joint events and special events; satellite events; and an exhibition gathering European/international programmes, companies, universities, and research centers.
On Monday 15 September at 5pm, COST will host a session with 8 COST Actions. Their representatives will present the work of the networks and future activities, and will share their experience in COST and the many advantages which membership of their Action has afforded them, exploring how COST Actions help advance knowledge and strengthen the research in their respective scientific fields . The session will close with a networking cocktail offerd for attendees. The following COST Actions and Innovators Grant will take part:
- FoodWaStop, Sustainable Network for agrofood loss and waste prevention, management, quantification and valorisation
- EuMINe, European Materials Informatics Network
- DAEMON, Data-driven Applications towards the Engineering of functional Materials: an Open Network
- LUCES, Supramolecular LUminescent Chemosensors for Environmental Security
- EU-MACE, European Materials Acceleration Center for Energy
- RENEW-PV, Research and International Networking on Emerging Inorganic Chalcogenides for Photovoltaics
- OPERA, European Network for Innovative and Advanced Epitaxy
- Technical, commercial and societal innovations on aerogels towards circular economy
On Wednesday 17 September at 10:50, COST Science Officer Dr Radenka Krsmanovic Whiffen will present the COST Programme. Attendees will be able to learn about COST and its networking opportunities, its role in promoting and spreading research excellence, the aims and impact of the COST Programme, and how they can engage in COST and COST Actions by joining existing networks, by submitting their own proposal through the COST Open Call, or by becoming a COST External Expert.
On Thursday 18 September at 10:50 the COST Innovators Grant 'Technical, commercial and societal innovations on aerogels towards circular economy' will be further presented.
From 15 to 19 September representatives from the COST Association, Actions and Innovators Grant will welcome attendees at booth 13 at the exhibition area.
