COST Info Day - Israel

Scientific cooperation between the EU and Israel goes back to 1996, when Israel, as the first non-European country, started to be associated via a specific agreement to the European Framework Programme. Israel is now considered to be one of the European ‘Innovation Leaders’ with a quality of research equal to the most advanced EU Member States.

What cities think about COST Actions

Cities are increasingly involved in COST Actions, yet the collaboration between cities and COST networks usually stays under the radar, with good practices not usually extending beyond the borders of COST Actions. On the 10th October, COST organised an event as part of the European Week of Regions and Cities to explore this issue further.

COST Committee of Senior Officials meet in Tartu, Estonia

The 201st meeting of the COST Committee of Senior Officials (CSO) was held in Tartu, Estonia, on 18-19 October 2017. The meeting was, for the first time, chaired by Prof. Dr Sierd Cloetingh, President of the COST Association.

COST in Montenegro to encourage greater participation in COST Actions

15% of all running COST Actions include involvement from researchers in Montenegro. On the 8th October, representatives from COST met with senior figures from the Science sector to discuss ways to increase this number. COST also held an Info Day on the 9th October to encourage and inform researchers on how to become involved with COST.

Graphene Week 2017

COST were in Greece for the annual Graphene Week conference, which attracted over 550 participants, inlcuding many young researchers who were interested in joining COST Actions.
