Tallinn Info Day

On Friday 7th September, over 100 researchers gathered for the COST Info Day at the Estonian Academy of Sciences in Tallinn to discover how they could participate in COST Actions.

COST networks join in the debate at ESOF 2018

Over the last 5 days, researchers, policy makers, science journalists, communicators and funding bodies from across Europe have stressed the importance of sharing research at the biggest science and innovation event on the continent - the Euroscience Open Forum (ESOF). COST took the opportunity to support researchers from over 20 COST Actions, as they held 7 of the 200 sessions making up the event’s science programme.

President, Sierd Cloetingh and Director, Ronald de Bruin travelled to separate Info Days on the 4 May 2018, to encourage researchers based in Georgia and Moldova to participate in COST Actions in order to grow their knowledge networks, careers and visibility.

COST’s governing body, the Committee of Senior Officials (CSO), has unanimously accepted Albania’s request for full COST membership. The country is now the 37th COST Member.

Get involved in the 39 brand new COST Actions starting in 2018

On 13 April 2018, COST’s governing board decided to fund 39 out of the 422 eligible network proposals. The 40th proposal is pending funding approval, which is expected on 26 April. The new Actions will be starting throughout summer and autumn 2018.
