COST were delighted to host the Introduction to the COST Framework, an information session exclusively dedicated to researchers, engineers and scholars of all scientific and technology fields working in Hungary, which took place on 16 June 2015, at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (Hungary).

The objective was to share information about the COST Framework Programme and funding research networks (COST Actions) that provide an opportunity for researchers from all fields to connect and collaborate with their peers across Europe in order to jointly develop their own ideas and launch new initiatives.

COST representatives were there to elaborate on COST principles and explain the new Open Call and scientific organisation.

After this session, attendees became familiar with:

  • What the COST framework stands for
  • Why you should apply for a COST Action
  • How to apply for a COST Action
  • How to join an existing COST Action
  • The local perspective and experiences of successful COST Actions

Ms Orsolya Tóth , COST CSO Delegate and National Coordinator for Hungary, talked about national participation in COST Actions and national support measures.

Dr Katalin Kopecskó and Prof. Attila Géza Császár were present to describe in detail their experiences and share their recommendations.
