Qualitative research can be deeply personal and immersive, shaped by the researcher’s interactions in the field. But how does this exposure affect the researcher? What challenges arise when navigating emotionally intense topics, vulnerable target groups, risky fieldwork conditions, or institutional barriers? While there is no single solution to all challenges, increasing awareness and institutional support can make a significant difference. In this webinar, COST Action COREnet's members and external experts will discuss researchers’ emotional well-being, contextual vulnerabilities, and the importance of addressing these issues in research ethics.
