COST at the Euroscience Open Forum
Europe’s largest interdisciplinary, pan-European general science meeting takes place in Dublin, Ireland, from 11 to 15 July 2012. COST joins this global gathering of Nobel laureates, leading researchers, policy makers, business leaders and international media.
S & T = Key 2 Knowledge - The added-value of collaborative networks
As an important partner of ESOF 2012, COST is preparing a branded event on Friday 13 July 2012 - ESOF's Policy Day - to highlight how COST as a networking programme might be best positioned to leverage added value in terms of knowledge-transfer and to generate output at European level. All ESOF participants are cordially invited to attend the event at Wicklow Meeting Room 1.
Planting the seeds of genetically modified trees
COST Action FP0905 was selected as part of the Science programme to present key aspects of genetically modified trees related to biosafety. On Thursday 12 July 2012,the Action's experts will discuss public concerns about the real and perceived importance and dangers of plantations across Europe from a scientific, societal, and policy perspective from 08:00 to 09:30 in Liffey Hall 2.
