COST Director Ronald de Bruin on the importance of research networks at LERU's Vice-Rectors meeting

On 9 June, COST Association Director Ronald de Bruin presented COST to LERU’s Vice-Rectors Research Policy Group. The meeting was hosted by Utrecht University and discussions took place on the next European Framework Program for Research and Innovation, the increased focus on the impact of research and the recent developments of the Brexit on EU R&D policies.


Since its founding in 2002, LERU has emerged as a prominent advocate for the promotion of basic research at European universities, and is a respective voice in the discussions about the future of Europe’s research policy. LERU members are: University of Amsterdam, Universitat de Barcelona, University of Cambridge, University of Copenhagen, Trinity College Dublin, University of Edinburgh, University of Freiburg, Université de Genève, Universität Heidelberg, University of Helsinki, Universiteit Leiden, KU Leuven, Imperial College London, University College London, Lund University, University of Milan , Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, University of Oxford, Pierre & Marie Curie University, Université Paris-Sud, University of Strasbourg, Utrecht University and University of Zurich.
