Chemistry Made Fun
COST scientists from the University of Nottingham have developed a periodic table of videos depicting each chemical element in a fun and interactive way.
The periodic table of the chemical elements also known as Mendeleev's table is a distant school memory for some. Its layout has changed over time, as new elements have been discovered, and new theoretical models have been developed to explain chemical behaviour.
Prof. Martyn Poliakoff, MC member of COST Action CM0903 and Dr Pete Licence are among those who have helped to develop a modern version with a short video explaining each chemical element with an experiment. This modern twist on a basic tool of chemistry hopes to get more students interested and involved in this area of study.
