COP15 Welcomes COST to Copenhagen
An exciting line-up of activities involving COST is set to take place at the COP15 Conference.
COST delegates will join some of World’s top leaders at the COP15 Conference in Copenhagen.
Activities will start with a side event on options for including nitrogen management in climate policy development, taking place on Monday 7 December 2009 between 18:00 and 19:00. Jan Willem Erisman, Chair of COST Action 729 Assessing and Managing Nitrogen Fluxes in the Atmosphere-Biosphere System in Europe from the Energy Research Centre of The Netherlands, will present the results of his Action.
On Friday 18 December 2009, Anna Osann will join the EC DG RTD-Environment side event. She will take this opportunity to communicate the results of the Water and Energy Links initiative developed by COST and the Australian National University.
Through a series of Exploratory Workshops, participants from Europe and beyond examined the links between water and energy in urban water supplies, the energy sector, food security and other industrial sectors. A list of recommendations has now been published.
COST will also join the debate on climate change TV and talk about its support for Actions on this widely important topic.
