Updates to the COST Vademecum
Actions and interested parties are advised that some elements of the Vademecum, which compiles rules for the implementation of COST Actions, have been clarified.
The arrival of e-cost, the online grant-management tool, has provided the opportunity to improve the understanding and accessibility of the Vademecum, to grant holders but also to beneficiaries of the pay-as-you-go system.
Largely thanks to the useful comments of Grant holders, Action Management committees, and Domain Committees, the COST Office now offers two Vademecums – one for activities financed under the pay-as-you-go scheme, and one for the COST Actions managed under the COST Grant System. The rules have not changed, only the way they are presented.
Some titles have changed, such as ‘Meeting Workshops and Conferences’, which is now called ‘Local Organiser Support’. Some sections have been renumbered or moved, including section 6 of the previous Vademecum, which has become the second document, ‘Vademecum for the COST Grant System’. Also, some phrases and terms have been modified to clarify the spirit of certain instruments, such as STSMs with near neighbour countries, which have been edited to enhance their reciprocal nature.
