COST country focus: Greece
Greece has been a member of COST since becoming a COST country in 1971. The National COST Office in Greece is hosted by the General Secretariat for Research and Technology.

Greece participates in just over 550 COST Actions and is the chair of 15 COST Actions. Within these 15 COST Actions, Greece has contributed to developing space weather products and services in Europe, as well as looking at the trends and theory behind public private partnerships in transport.
Greece has, moreover, participated in Actions which have used phytotechnologies to promote sustainable land use management and improve food chain safety, looked at new drugs for neglected diseases as well as participating in the European Scientific Network for Artificial Muscles (ESNAM).
More information on all the COST Actions which Greece both chairs and participates in can be found on the new COST country page.
This country focus fits in a summer series in which we visit each COST country in alphabetical order to highlight its achievements in the COST Programme.
