COST country focus: Czech Republic

The Czech Republic has been an independent COST member since 1993 and was already a member of COST as a part of Czechoslovakia since 1991. The Czech Republic hosted the COST Ministerial Council in Prague in 1997.

The national COST Office in the Czech Republic is hosted by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports.

The Czech Republic is active in every Domain and has chaired over 300 Actions since joining COST. They are particularly active in the Food and Agriculture Domain including involvement in COST Actions which have improved soil quality and health in agriculture; set up a European network of pig genomes and controlled metals in drinking water throughout Europe.
