COST Action TU0803 - Cities Regrowing Smaller organised a conference that looked at all aspects of shrinkage with the aim to present and discuss local experiences and research.
In both the academic world and the political debates, shrinkage has become a pressing problem in many parts of Europe. The severity of shrinkage and the time span in which shrinkage is occurring differs between the different parts of Europe. Even though the amount of literature on shrinkage is increasing, it remains difficult to pinpoint the exact causes and consequences of shrinkage.
This conference gathered experts from all over Europe to discuss this important topic. Please consult the event website for more information.
