The NIME conference draws a varied group of participants, including researchers (musicology, computer science, interaction design, etc.), artists (musicians, composers, dancers, etc.) and developers (self-employed and industrial).

For more information on NIME2011, please visit the NIME website or follow the event on Twitter.

In connection with NIME 2011, an exhibition on Sonic Interaction Design was curated in collaboration with COST Action IC0601 on Sonic Interaction Design (SID). The exhibition featured works using sonic interaction within arts, music and design as well as examples of sonification for research and artistic purposes. The exhibition will take place at the Norwegian Museum of Science, Technology and Medicine in Oslo, and will open on 29 May 2011.
