MCIS 2011 focused on Information Systems: Crossroads of Technology, People, Organizations and Markets this year. The COST ICT Domain was represented with a Green Engineering Café.
The event aimed to inspire innovation and informative information systems research that is relevant to the social, economic, and cultural particularities of the Mediterranean Region.
With the introduction of global information and communication systems and global connectivity, the increasing complexity of all the networks requires a careful holistic design, especially when considering energy efficiency but also when considering all other aspects of engineering.
The COST ICT Domain hosted a Green Engineering Café at this event to offer networking opportunities to those involved in the field of green engineering and to enhance the strategy of the 'Green Engineering Society'. Selected papers on the topic were invited for publication in the Journal of Green Engineering.
