PROGRAMMING Survey

The COST Action Promoting geriatric medicine in countries where it is still emerging (PROGRAMMING) advocates for the training of the health workforce in basic principles of Geriatric Medicine, as a strategic approach for facing the global challenge of the complex healthcare needs of the growing population of older people. PROGRAMMING aims at mapping educational needs and proposing curricula on Geriatric Medicine with a special focus on countries where this scientific domain is still under development. Up to now, the Action counts more than 200 members from 39 countries.

The Action has started a pan-European survey investigating the educational needs of health professionals on basic knowledge and skills of geriatric medicine and the care of the older people. This survey is addressed to all health professionals who deal with the older people in their daily clinical practice, to final year medical students and also to health units’ managers.

The survey is being carried out simultaneously in more than 30 countries. It is subject to GDPR rules, and the study is guaranteed to be conducted in accordance with the rules of good practice.

Taking this survey would require 10 minutes to fill out the questionnaire (available in many languages), and it would be very helpful if all those who take it could also promote it to their peers and COST Action members

Take the PROGRAMMING Survey and help upgrading the care of the older people across Europe!
