European Gender Summit - Quality Research and Innovation through Equality

The first European Gender Summit provided a forum for stakeholders from research, industry and policy to jointly explore how gendered methodologies can stimulate innovation and advance scientific excellence. The summit will map the current state of knowledge, provide a forum for interdisciplinary debate and draw up concrete action plans for research and innovation policy.
A high-level European initiative
The European Science Foundation together with genSET and COST partnered to deliver the first European Gender Summit. This conference brought together leaders in science research and in policy to discuss emerging trends and advances in understanding how gender issues impact science research and innovation at the European Level.
The European Gender Summit was held under the auspices of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and was supported by the European Commission through the Science and Society Programme (FP7). The event is supported by a range of high-level partners and patrons from different sectors and backgrounds.
