COST and a number of representatives from COST Actions will be at EuroMED2018, in Nicosia, Cyprus between 29th October and 3rd November.

EuroMED is a biannual international conference on Digital Heritage research.

This year’s event will be a main cornerstone of the European Year of Cultural Heritage (EYCH) , debating on the current and future worldwide developments in this area. It will gather policy makers from the European Commission and the European Parliament together with the COST Director and representatives from European projects in the context of the new research Framework Program Horizon Europe.

It will explore how digital technologies can contribute to the preservation and restoration of Europe’s most important and endangered cultural heritage sites. It offers a unique framework for interaction and debate for scientists, innovators, policy makers, local administrations, industry and the civil society.

COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) and representatives from COST Actions will be at this year's EuroMED event in Nicosia, Cyprus.  COST Director, Ronald de Bruin will give a keynote speech and there will be a COST stand situated at the main entrance of the Filoxenia Conference Centre. 

5 COST Actions representatives will be holding a specific session on 31 st October with the main objective to discuss “How to overcome the fragmentation of funding for Cultural Heritage research activity in the context of Horizon Europe?”. Speakers will debate on how COST contributes to the capacity building of the sector; to overcome its fragmentation and which impact COST Actions have achieved.
