COST Training Schools disseminated the outcomes of activities which were part of COST Actions or provided intensive training on a new emerging subject. They were open to early-stage and senior researchers alike. As part of the Outreach Strategy, fifteen training schools took place between March and May 2009, on a variety of topics.
Bioencapsulation covers areas such as medicine, food, biotechnology, agriculture and cosmetics. Young researchers often have a very limited vision of the aspects and applications of the bioencapsulation outside of their own subject, Domain or scientific field. COST 865 Action answers to this challenge and offers a broad training on bioencapsulation and associated aspects. It is hoped that this first experience will be pursued through other initiatives such as the Marie Curie research network or Erasmus programme, and other COST Actions.
