XI International Symposium on Platinum Coordination Compounds in Cancer Chemotherapy, Stem Cells, DNA repair mechanisms, DNA-damaging agents
|Date||11 - 14 October 2012|

Compared to previous editions of the symposium, XI ISPCC broadened the traditional themes (i.e. the pre-clinical and clinical pharmacology and pharmacodynamics) of platinum and other heavy metal compounds to include emerging areas of interest namely ‘stem cells, DNA-repair mechanisms, DNA-damaging agents’.
The topics addressed by COST Action CM1105 ‘Functional metal complexes that bind to biomolecules’ were tightly interlinked with the symposium's programme and many sessions were of relevance to COST Actions involved in the Chemistry and Molecular Sciences and Technologies (CMST) and the Biomedicine and Molecular Biosciences (BMBS) Domains. The symposium organisers therefore granted COST Action participants the opportunity to register for participation at a reduced fee.
