The April COST Seminar featured Ms Sigi Gruber, Head of Unit, Relations with Third Countries from the DG Research & Innovation, who will present news and views on the European Union and Member States Partnership for International Cooperation.
Within the Directorate General for Research and Innovation, Sigi Gruber is heading the unit responsible for promoting the coherence and synergy between Member States and with the EU regarding international cooperation policies and activities with third countries and regions. Furthermore the unit gathers information and develops analyses of international research and innovation policies in major third countries; and last but not least the unit also manages the network of Science and Technology Counsellors in the EU Delegations and ensures the follow-up of cooperation with international organisations (UNESCO, UN, etc) and other multilateral fora (G8 and Carnegie).
