18th Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference – MELECON 2016

COST participated in MELECON 2016, an IEEE Region 8 flagship conference with a long standing history of excellence both in electrotechnology and in recent years in information and communication technologies as well. MELECON 2016 covered complementary thematic areas that hold great promise for the advancement of research and technological development in the solution of complex engineering systems. In this context, MELECON 2016 attracted high quality papers and provided a platform for the cross fertilization of new ideas and know-how under the special theme of the conference that was Intelligent & Efficient Technologies & Services for the Citizen.

Data Collection and Mining toward the Virtual Chemistry of Smart Energy Carriers

The workshop was a starting point for discussing the main requirements and tools to develop e-infrastructures, databases, software and mathematical tools for data collection and handling. It also addressed the chemistry optimisation of smart energy carriers.
