Week of Innovative Regions in Europe 2015 (WIRE 2015)

COST Association President, Dr Rodríguez-Peña, participated in the 05 June parallel session entitled “The impact of Spreading excellence and widening participation at regional level”. Her presentation focused on the COST Excellence and Inclusiveness and Widening policy contributing to spreading Excellence and Widening Participation in Horizon 2020.

Cultural Literacy in Europe

This international gathering brought together academics interested in the development of Literary and Cultural Studies in Europe and beyond, as well as policymakers at European and national level. The conference was the first step in implementing the recommendations of the European-wide project Cultural Literacy in Europe and inaugurated a European Forum on Cultural Literacy in Europe. The 2015 Conference had two aspects: academic debate on four Literary and Cultural Studies fields, and strategic discussion involving academics together with invited policymakers and funders at European and national level.

Horizon 2020 - New Commission, new Agenda

COST outlined its overall contribution to Horizon 2020 objectives at the Science Business event focusing on the first outcomes and expectations of the research and innovation programme, one year on. Participants also discussed challenges in European research and innovation over the next 20 years.
