COST-ESF's science policy briefing on 'Cultural Literacy in Europe Today' now available

In 2009, the COST Domain for Individuals, Societies, Cultures and Health (ISCH) and the ESF Standing Committee for the Humanities (SCH) proceeded to investigate, through a series of research workshops, four vital areas for literary research: Cultural Memory; Migration and Translation; Electronic Textuality and Biopolitics, Biosociality and the Body. This science policy briefing summarises recommendations for a new European policy in literary and cultural studies research.

The Role of the EU in UN Human Rights Reform: A Policy Debate

COST Action IS0702, a COST-funded research network on 'The Role of the EU in UN Human Rights Reform', carried out joint research activities on the achievements, gaps and weaknesses of the UN human rights protection mechanisms as well as the contribution of the EU and its Member States in strengthening these mechanisms. On 28 January 2013 the COST Action presented its results and recommendations to EU policy-makers.
