ICT COST Action 293
Graphs and algorithms in communication networks
Descriptions are provided by the Actions directly via e-COST.
The main objective of this Action is to elaborate on global and solid advances in the design of communication networks by letting experts and researchers with strong mathematical background meet peers specialised in communication networks and share their mutual experience by forming a multidisciplinary scientific co-operation community.
More precisely, it is intended that scientists performing fundamental research in specific Computer Science disciplines - including in particular discrete mathematics, algorithmics, mathematical optimisation, and distributed computing - will help solving problems proposed by scientists involved in practical research in the area of communication networks, covering broadband packet network design, backbone optical network design, multi-layer networks design as well as wireless and ad-hoc networks design.
Hence the objective is to create a research community addressing realistic problems in communication network design, using realistic models, proper tools and related techniques
